Blinds & Interiors is a family-owned and operated local business that has been serving the South and North Shore for over 40 years and three generations—turning houses into homes, one window at a time. Our foundation began with the original House of Hawkins in Metairie, Louisiana. From there, the Blinds & Interiors name was born and quickly expanded to the North Shore.

Founded by Gaye Hawkins Tapley and operated by Teresa Hawkins Ainsworth, our company is built on a legacy of quality and dedication. Teresa is diligent and works hard to provide our clients with the highest quality at an affordable cost. Specializing in motorization and product education, she can transform your space with modern, customized touches that enhance both style and functionality.

The art of window decorating is now being passed down to Teresa’s daughter, Karalee Ainsworth Dye, who is leading the family business into the next generation. A talented artist with a keen eye for colors and patterns, Karalee brings a fresh perspective that can truly bring a room to life.
